While many of our adult courses start at 13+, these classes are specifically geared towards teens and allow space to explore creativity with their peers.

Teen Abstract

TEEN ABSTRACT SCULPTURE

This course focuses on the art of assemblage with organic materials to create abstract sculptures. Students can expect to become comfortable experimenting with organic materials, creating sculptures that may be temporary or unresolved, working with mythological and personal themes, and to become familiar with artists working in this way.

This teen class focuses on learning the steps of using the potter’s wheel, including throwing, trimming, and glazing. No open-toed shoes or shoes that slide off easily are allowed. Clay is provided as students need it, and a class set of tools is available. If preferred, students may purchase their own 25-pound bag of clay and toolkit.
*Please note that the last day of class is a pickup day for completed pieces.

AFTER SCHOOL CERAMCIS

This class is for teens and provides basic introduction to the potter’s wheel and are encouraged to explore free expression in both functional and nonfunctional ware. All levels of ability are welcome. Students work at their own pace in a friendly atmosphere with plenty of individual instruction. All supplies are included. Secure, closed-toed shoes are required.

TEEN’S DAY OUT: YULETIDE BAKING
Friday: December 20 | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Grades 6 – 9
