Eastern Kansas Regional Scholastic Art Awards’ Award Announcement is live!

IMPORTANT- When viewing the Award Announcement, please let us know if you see a typo or discrepancy by emailing scholastics@markartsks.com .

Artwork that receives an American Vision Nomination, Gold Key, or Silver Key awards will be displayed physically at Mark Arts during the Eastern Kansas Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition, from February 6 to March 28, 2026.

National Announcement Day will be March 25, 2026, and the results can be found on artandwriting.org. Artwork that receives a Gold Key and American Vision Nomination at the regional level will automatically move forward into the national adjudication in early spring 2026.

ARTWORK DROP OFF

Silver Key, Gold Key, and American Vision Nomination artwork may be dropped off to be included in the 2026 Eastern Kansas Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition. Artwork must be delivered to Mark Arts (1307 N. Rock Rd. Wichita, KS 67206) by 5 p.m., Saturday, January 31. Each artwork must have an artwork delivery form present with the artwork upon drop off.

OPENING RECEPTION

FEBRUARY 6 | 4-6 P.M.
Join Mark Arts on Friday, February 6, from 4–6 p.m. to view regional award-winning artworks created by talented Kansas teens. Enjoy live music from USD 259 musical groups, a photo opportunity by Lamphouse Photo Co., and pick up your Scholastics pins and certificates. Only Silver Key, Gold Key, and educator pins will be available. This is a come-and-go event; guests are welcome to arrive at any time during the event hours.

CLOSING CEREMONY & COLLEGE OPEN HOUSE

MARCH 28 | 10 A.M. TO NOON
Enjoy a special awards celebration honoring the winners of the 2026 Eastern Kansas Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition. Review the digital program at the ceremony to learn which award-winning students received scholarships and cash awards. Engage with regional schools and universities while learning about their fine arts programs. A photo opportunity will be available by Lamphouse Photo Co.

At 11 a.m., guests will gather in Mark Arts’ Great Hall for a full ceremony featuring award presentations and a keynote speech by one of the jurors for the 2026 Eastern Kansas Scholastic Art Awards.

Scholastic pins and certificates will be available for pickup at this event. Only Silver Key, Gold Key, and educator pins will be available. Students and educators will be asked to remove, check out, and take artwork after the event concludes at noon.

THE EASTERN KANSAS SCHOLASTIC ART AWARDS

Mark Arts is proud to be the affiliate partner for the Eastern Kansas Region for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic talent and present their remarkable work to the world through the Scholastic Art Awards. The Eastern Kansas Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition showcases select artwork created by middle school and high school students from 70 Kansas counties.

The awards give students opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships. Participants, supported by their visual arts teachers and other community mentors, create and submit their best works of art. Each work is reviewed by a panel of art professionals for originality, technical skill and the emergence of personal vision.
