Land That I Love Exhibition
May 29-July 18, 2026

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Land That I Love showcases a wide range of perspectives, mediums and interpretations of America’s landscapes, wildlife and communities through 85 juried works created by 59 artists from the East and West coasts, across the Midwest Plains and states in between.

Versus: A Live Art Battle Artists Showcase
May 15-June 27, 2026

Select works created by the 14 competitors in this year's Versus: A Live Art Battle are on view in this special exhibition. Enjoy pieces by 2D artists Kent Broberg, Deber614, Robin Danks, Yulla Faun Vega, Kristen Hildebrand, Monica Morris, Elaine Rusk and Grace Young, along with 3D artists Troy Becker, Emily Chamberlain, Kelly Chapin Hagen, Ryan Dawson, Carol Long and Wanda Wilson.

Youth GALLERY

Abstract Expressionism Through the Eyes of A Fifth Grader - Washington Accelerated Learning Elementary
April 11- May 16, 2026

Under the tutelage of educator Jay Jacoby, the 5th graders of Washington Accelerated Learning Elementary explored the emotional intensity of Abstract Expressionism by creating their own works. The exhibit in the Youth Gallery features 62 canvases that reflect the students’ personal journeys and the lessons they learned about the art movement.

The Eastern Kansas Scholastic Art Awards

The awards give students opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships. Participants, supported by their visual arts teachers and other community mentors, create and submit their best works of art. Each work is reviewed by a panel of art professionals for originality, technical skill and the emergence of personal vision.
