GOUACHE, THE MAGIC MEDIUM

Gouache is a beloved watercolor based, opaque medium among artists due to its rich pigment concentration, portability, and the capacity to layer light over dark. Enhance skills in color theory, drawing and design while learning to structure gouache paintings from start to finish creating artworks that showcase light, texture and depth for a more immerse artistic experience.

UKRIANIAN EGG DECORATING

Students will learn the traditional art of pysanka, a wax-resist method of dyeing eggs that dates back centuries. Led by instructor Svitlana Tararuk, participants will be guided through the process of creating two beautifully designed eggs using the pysanka style. Students will get a step-by-step demonstration of the techniques involved and will, then, have the opportunity to experiment with different colors and designs as they craft intricate designs of their own. By the end of the class, each student will have two unique and stunning pysanky to take home as a cherished handmade keepsake.
