Gouache - Mary Binford Miller

GOUACHE

All skill levels are invited to try this medium that has been in use for 12 centuries. Gouache is a water-medium paint similar to watercolor in that it can be re-wetted, but similar to acrylics and oil paints in its opacity.

This class will cover the basics, like color mixing and how to apply acrylic paint with various techniques. Additional topics include perspective, proportion and color theory. Students will choose the subject matter for their paintings with guided instruction. Various creative styles of painting will be explored for further inspiration.
