To advance art education and appreciation, Mark Arts partners with other institutions through a loan program to increase public access to objects in the Study Collection. Loan requests are evaluated in light of the art-historical and scholarly value of the exhibition for which they are requested, as well as the condition of the object and the need to incorporate it into Mark Arts’ own programs. The borrowing institution must be able to ensure the safety of the loan and a current facilities report must be provided before a loan is approved.
In some instances, partnering institutions or scholars may wish to use images of Study Collection works. Mark Arts must grant permission for outside parties to use images for any purpose.
