Celebrate the flavors of Wichita during Crave Culinary Festival, a week-long experience showcasing exceptional food, craft beverages, and the talented chefs, restaurants, and artisans who make our culinary community unique. From craft beer and authentic cuisine to handcrafted cocktails, an elegant wine dinner, and a lively outdoor Foodie Fair, Crave invites guests to discover new flavors, connect with local culinary talent, and savor unforgettable experiences.

The festival culminates on Saturday, September 19, with the Foodie Fair, featuring a keynote presentation and tasting experiences from local restaurants, bakeries, beverage makers, and specialty food artisans. Sample bites, sips, and sweet treats while celebrating the creativity and passion that define Wichita's vibrant food scene.

Join Carla Rosales-Banuelos of Connie’s Cafe and Grupo Modelo for a celebration of the bold flavors of Mexico, featuring authentic small bites expertly paired with Modelo, Corona and Pacifico. Discover the art of beer pairing while exploring the flavors, traditions and techniques behind Mexican cuisine.

Breakfast Favorites: The Larcher's Sammie

Chef Kevin Lebron of Larcher’s Market brings a local favorite to the Mark Arts kitchen with a class dedicated to the ultimate all-in-one breakfast sandwich. Learn the techniques behind Larcher’s classic Breakfast Sammie and how to layer savory, sweet and spicy flavors into one seriously satisfying bite. On the menu: an over-hard egg, house-made sausage patty, jalapeño jam, American cheese and crispy hash brown on a brioche bun.

Cocktail & Culinary Tasting

The Belmont’s Beverage Curator McKayla Williams and Chef Jen Reifschneider join Andy Rieger of J. Rieger & Co. for an interactive evening of handcrafted cocktails and thoughtfully paired small plates. Discover the spirits, ingredients and techniques behind each pour while exploring how food and cocktails complement one another through stories, demonstrations and a behind-the-bar look at mixology.

Culinary Workshop
Asian Fusion: East Meets West
Wednesday, September 16 | 6 p.m.

Chef and former Mark Arts culinary instructor Nina Winter returns with a creative blend of Asian and Italian flavors. Nina is a plant-based private chef through her business MOKKO and currently serves as Chef & Culinary Artist at Bartlett Arboretum. Her approach centers on mindful, holistic cooking and transforming simple, quality ingredients into memorable meals. On the menu: Miso Pasta, Sesame Caprese Salad, Milk Buns and dessert.

Four-Course Wine Dinner

Bread, Braise & Ganache

Chef and culinary entrepreneur Katharine Elder of Elderslie Farm brings her passion for thoughtful, beautifully prepared food to the Mark Arts kitchen. Known for her approach to seasonal ingredients and elevated, approachable cooking, Katharine will guide students through the techniques behind a memorable meal from start to finish. On the menu: golden focaccia, a vibrant savory salad, tender braised short ribs and rich chocolate ganache.

Kids In the Kitchen (Ages 8–12)
Saturday, September 19 | 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Young chefs kick off this weekly class during CRAVE, exploring the creativity of cooking through hands-on lessons in preparing, cooking and presenting recipes made from scratch. Each week, students will build new culinary skills, master a tasty recipe and take home leftovers to share with family.

Foodie Fair

The grand finale of the Crave Culinary Festival brings together Wichita's vibrant culinary community for an afternoon of delicious discovery. Sample bites, sips, and specialty offerings from approximately 15 local restaurants, bakeries, beverage makers, and food artisans while meeting the people behind some of the region's favorite flavors.

The afternoon begins with a featured keynote presentation by local food creator Jackstacks.Eats followed by the Foodie Fair on the outdoor terraces. Cast your vote for the coveted Fan Favorite Award, enjoy live music, and celebrate the creativity and talent that make Wichita's food scene truly exceptional.
