Join us for a morning of storytelling, music and creativity during July's Art Together. This free program for all ages celebrates the rhythms and traditions of percussion from around the world.
The morning begins with story time featuring Saryana and the Wonderful Djembe Drum by Madalina Hubert, introducing young readers to the traditional West African djembe and themes of perseverance, kindness and following your own path.
Next, enjoy an energetic performance by ICT Youth Drumline before creating and decorating your own drum to take home. Then, learn a few basic cadences from members of the drumline and experience the joy of making music together.
