Mark Arts holds a variety of workshops for Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland at our 1307 N. Rock Road facility. See below for upcoming workshops and for past workshops that are also available as private Girl Scout parties. Join us at the Mark Arts pottery studio for some messy fun! Work with local artists to make and glaze your own pottery in this multi-session event. Session 1 they will create their masterpieces and at session 2 they will glaze or paint their pieces. If painting, pieces may be taken home on the 2nd day, but if glazing, pieces may be picked up about 1 week after event to allow for firing in the Mark Arts studio kilns. Girls will complete all steps of the Potter badge.
Do you love art and nature? Get inspired to create some outdoor art! You will work with local artists to make nature crafts, explore different artistic mediums, and have fun outdoors. Girls will complete all required steps of the Outdoor Art Creator badge.
Want more sparkle in your life? Learn to make jewelry! We will be working with metal and other materials to create several unique pieces to keep for yourself or to give as gifts. Girls will complete all steps of the Jeweler badge with direction from Mark Arts instructors.
Do you love art and nature? Get inspired to create some outdoor art! You will work with local artists to make nature crafts, explore different artistic mediums, and have fun outdoors. Participants are encouraged to bring a camera if they have one. Girls will complete all required steps of the Outdoor Art Explorer badge.
