METALSMITHING ALL SKILLS

Projects in this course are tailored to the individual student’s interest and ability level, with demonstrations presented to develop and advance personal style. Students are responsible for purchasing project supplies and materials, which will be discussed on the first day of class.

ENAMELING FOR ALL SKILLS TUESDAY

Enameling: the transformation of simple glass and metal to a piece of jewelry or decoration. Learn how two very different substances can be combined to make beautiful pieces of jewelry, dishes, wall decor and more as we engage in the centuries-old art of enameling. A supply list will be provided by the instructor. Students are responsible for purchasing project supplies and materials, which will be discussed on the first day of class.

BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE JEWELRY & METALSMITHING

Explore the basic techniques for fabricating jewelry and decorative pieces through demonstrations and hands-on projects. Students will learn to make a silver ring, links for a bracelet or necklace, metal techniques, textures, bezel stone setting, soldering, and more. Students are responsible for purchasing project supplies and materials, which will be discussed on the first day of class.

Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 9 a.m. – Noon

Enameling students Open Studio 
Fridays 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. & Thursdays or Saturdays 1 -4 p.m.

Students who have previously taken classes may drop-in for open studio on a space-available basis for $25;
it is highly recommended that a reservation is made in advance, as space is limited.

Drop-ins must check in at the front desk prior to entering the studio.
