Create from the comfort of your home with our virtual Make your Mark workshop series. Registration is required in advance and closes 48 hours prior. Supplies are included in the ticket price, and you can pick up your art kit the day of the workshop.

ZOOM ZENTANGLE MARKER MUGS

March 25, 2021 | 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Instructor: Charlotte Patterson

$40 – Learn the Zentangle method and put your new skills to use by decorating a pair of mugs with permanent markers. Get your days off to a positive start by reflecting on your mug design over a hot cup of coffee. Instructions will be provided for heating the mugs at home to permanently set the marker on the ceramic surface.

PORTFOLIO REVIEW WITH JIM GROSS

April 17, 2021 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Instructor: Jim Gross

$20 – Abstract painter Jim Gross has been working with critical portfolio problems for over 50 years. Gross will be offering a one-day lecture dealing with portfolio creation, quality of selections, matting and framing, presentation of work for national shows, understanding galleries, and basic artist resume requirements. This lecture is geared towards artists who are serious about developing their professional practice. High schoolers looking to pursue a career in art are encouraged to apply. Please bring a portfolio of 5-10 artworks to review.

Location: Tables Studio

 

Jim Gross began his studies at the Wichita Art Association in 1961, and has work the Guggenheim, Museum of Modern Art, and The Metropolitan among other gallery affiliation in New York City, including Tibor de Nagy and Althea Viafora Gallery. Gross received his MA and MFA degrees from Wichita State University and has been teaching for 50 years. He has extensive teaching credentials (teaching certificate) from Friends University in 1972.
