Kansas Art Guild
Beginner, intermediate and master artists meet monthly to learn from one another and from renowned artists through critique and demonstrations. The Guild offers members the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work in Wichita and in surrounding community venues. The Guild is focused on developing the skills of each member, sharing insights and experiences and enjoying the journey. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 12:45 p.m. at Mark Arts.
Kansas Academy of Oil Painters
The Kansas Academy of Oil Painters is an art guild composed of professional and semi-professional artists from Wichita and surrounding communities, working in both oil and acrylic. KAOP meets at Mark Arts on the fourth Thursday of every other month at 1 p.m., (February, April, June, August, October and December).
Wichita Women Artists
Wichita Women Artists started in 1950 as the Painting of the Month Club. Members must be juried in by submitting five works for review. The artists’ diverse work includes oil, pastel, watercolor, mixed media, sculpture and jewelry. Wichita Women Artists meets at 9:30 a.m. on third Thursdays at Mark Arts.
Kansas Watercolor Society
Artists whose work was selected to hang in the 1969 Wichita Art Association statewide watercolor competition were charter members of this organization. Membership levels include charter members, signature members, associate members, honorary members and friends. Dues are $20 annually. To qualify as a signature member, artists must have had a watermedia painting accepted as an entry in three competitions sponsored by the Kansas Watercolor Society.
